PokerRoom Tweet Causes Buzz in the Online Poker Community

SEO of bwin made a faux pas with what might be news that may be too soon to announce. It was announced via twitter last week that one of the original online poker playing websites, PokerRoom, would be making a comeback.

The tweet that was originally made through the popular social media network was viewed by thousands and caused players to question whether the site was coming back as one of the online poker greats, or whether the tweet was a mistake. Taken down, we wonder what prompted the tweet to be made and if there is indeed a chance that the original poker website could be restored for players in the US and around the globe.

Now, it’s ten days later and there is still no official word as to whether the poker site is going to be back up and running for players to make their deposits, let alone no word of when we might be able to register to play.

Speculation has been made through the online poker community of the status of the website and whether it’s going to be opened in the New Year. Sources have confirmed that the website operators would be open to the idea of the reopening of the website, but they have not confirmed or denied whether PokerRoom is going to open for business and accept new players.

Ongame has kept mum on the subject and has not confirmed that the website is going to become part of the fifth ranked gaming network. Players and poker news fanatics are being kept in the dark as to whether there is going to be an imminent return of the poker site.

For now, the site remains under construction with no banners, no hint of whether the site is going to reopen and no online poker playing capabilities. Looks like players are going to have to wait to see what 2012 has in store for PokerRoom.com.
